The Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) was established under the Standards Act, 2005 (Act No. 18 of 2005). Its primary role is to promote standardization and quality assurance across industry, commerce, and the public sector in Namibia. This aims to improve product quality, industrial efficiency, productivity, and promote trade to achieve optimal benefits for Namibia.
