Job purpose::
To deliver the annual audit plan and providing assurance to stakeholders that key risks are being mitigated through management controls, and to add and improve operations through the implementation of a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all the internal audit project management activities of the Bank.
- Performing the full internal audit cycle.
- Plan and develop risk-based annual audit plans.
- Design internal audit procedures and work programs.
- Apply the regulatory and corporate governance expectations of internal audit functions.
- Evaluate and assess business processes and objectives, determine key controls, risks, and exposures.
- Improve the Bank’s operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Build trusting relationships and improve credibility and quality of audit outputs by achieving objectives.
- Assess and improve the effectiveness of the Bank’s control, risk management, and governance processes.
- Prepare audit reports.
- Adhere to NamCode principles and Internal Auditing Standards.
- Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls.
- Advise management on monitoring techniques, risk management, and internal controls.
- Required to travel from time to time.

Key Requirements::
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Minimum of 5 years auditing experience, preferably 2 years in the financial/banking industry.
- Experience in engaging with all levels of management.
