Junior Foreman (Load/Haul Crushing) – Lewcor Group
Job Description
Lewcor Group is seeking a dynamic and qualified junior foreman with load and haul and crushing experience for a project at Rössing Mine, responsible for planning operations, achieving targets, and managing equipment and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct operations to achieve set targets
- Ensure quality of work and maintain company standards
- Complete operational documentation and production reports
- Attend daily and weekly site meetings and implement outcomes
- Liaise with Client representatives on operational requirements
- Coordinate logistics including traffic management, resource allocation, and road conditions
- Manage equipment inspections and operator permits
- Handle administrative duties (timesheets, leave, discipline)
- Maintain Supervisor Log Book and track out-of-scope works
- Support incident investigations and risk assessment reviews
- Highlight deviations and high-risk hazards to management
Requirements
- Namibian ID
- Valid Code of Conduct (not older than 6 months)
- Grade 12 or Technical Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Foreman
- Minimum 3 years’ Load & Haul experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Earthmoving Equipment
- Mobile crushing experience (Metso) – required
- Maintenance practices for mobile crushing equipment – advantageous
- Basic Excel and Word skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to liaise effectively with Client representatives
