Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To plan, execute and supervise all activities around stock movements and distribution to ensure efficient movement of materials and goods in line with the Hartlief production plans and targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Record stock levels and assist with stock rotation (FIFO)
- Challenge and clarify variations on stock count sheets, crates, and pallets
- Follow up and resolve variances between physical stock and system records
- Communicate shortages or out-of-stock raw and packaging materials immediately to the responsible line manager
- Record all stock losses relating to issued versus actual production and submit reports to the Systems Administrator
- Manage all daily produced products, record counts with order numbers, and submit to the Systems Administrator
- Manage and verify items to be scrapped and BTS (Back-to-Stock) returns from depots
- Supervise and control weekly and monthly stock take activities
- Monitor and inspect safe and proper storage of raw materials and finished products, taking corrective action where required
- Perform housekeeping and Health & Safety inspections
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Grade 12
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in a stock management position
- 2-year diploma in warehousing or logistics and experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage
