Job Description

Dema Construction cc is seeking a motivated and ambitious Quantity Surveyor Graduate to join our team. The ideal candidate will support cost control, tendering, valuation processes, and overall project commercial functions while developing professionally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating daily site operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Managing labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Conducting site inspections and reporting progress to management.
  • Ensuring quality control throughout all phases of the project.
  • Resolving on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in the construction industry, specifically in supervision or foreman roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and site management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence. Code C driver’s licence will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • A relevant certificate or diploma in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional training in site safety, supervision, or project management will be an advantage.
  • All qualifications must be certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.

Salary Range

Based on the Paterson Job Grading System, with this position classified at C (Skilled Technical / Supervisory Level). Actual remuneration is aligned to company salary structures.
