Job Description

Unik Construction Engineering has grown from a small building contractor into a competitive large corporation with 20 years’ steadfast development, Established in 1996 in Botswana, the company has established branches in Lesotho, Zambia, Namibia and South Africa in 2007, 2009 and 2013 respectively. Unik Construction Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd, registered in 2013, located at 26 Rensburger Street, Lafrenz, Windhoek, specializes in larger scale projects ranging from road and bridge construction, water and sewer services, residential, commercial, industrial buildings and infrastructure development.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and control all daily site activities relating to bulk earthworks, platforms and related civil works.
  • Manage plant, labour and materials to ensure production and quality targets are achieved.
  • Interpret construction drawings and set out works in accordance with design levels and tolerances.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Prepare daily site reports and maintain effective communication with the Site Agent and Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role on earthworks, platforms or road construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge of earth-moving equipment, production rates and construction sequencing.
  • Ability to read drawings and use basic surveying instruments.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work in remote project locations.
  • Namibian citizens or candidates holding valid Namibian work permits will be given preference.
