Deep Yellow Namibia

Namibia – A Tier- 1 Uranium Destination Namibia is the world’s 4 th largest producer of uranium, responsible for ~6% of global uranium output. Over the last 45 years the Erongo Region of Namibia has produced in excess of 350 Mlb of U 3 O 8 . This standout uranium region contains significant resources of U 3 O 8 with ~1.5 Blb in Measured and Indicated Resource categories and ~350 Mlb in Inferred Resources, including Deep Yellow’s projects. The resources occur within a north-south corridor which is approximately 200 km long and 65 km wide. Mineralisation within this region occurs in two distinct types: Palaeochannel/calcrete-type uranium mineralisation which occurs in Tertiary and Quaternary sediments filling ancient river valleys that drained the uranium rich hinterland. Basement/alaskite-type uranium mineralisation which is currently mined at Rössing and Husab. This type occurs in granitic and associated rocks of the Damaran or Pan-African orogenic belt forming the basement of the region. Namibia is a highly-supportive mining jurisdiction, with excellent infrastructure for development and mining and is host to a number of world-class uranium mining operations including Rössing – 11 Mlb pa design, Husab – 15 Mlb pa design and Langer Heinrich – 5 Mlb pa design.
