Job Description

To manage and control stock in Production, by receiving correct raw & packaging material from Procurement, performing stock takes and rotating stock according to FIFO in order to prevent stock losses within Production. .

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Receive reservations from the Administration Assistant.
  • Receive packaging and raw materials from the procurement warehouse according to reservations.
  • Identify, follow up, and resolve variances between actual stock and reservations.
  • Issue raw materials and packaging to machine operators or packaging team leaders according to the production plan.
  • Communicate shortages or out-of-stock materials immediately to the Production Scheduler, Machine Operators, and Team Leader: Processing.
  • Record all stock losses between issued materials and actual production, and submit daily reports.
  • Count daily produced products, record them on count sheets with order numbers, and submit to the Production Scheduler.
  • Perform daily opening and closing stock counts and submit completed stock sheets.
  • Conduct recounts where discrepancies are identified.
  • Rotate stock in the production warehouse in accordance with FIFO principles.
  • Handle raw materials and packaging carefully to prevent damage.
  • Wear full PPE before commencing duties to ensure workplace safety.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

PREFERRED / ADVANTAGES

  • Previous experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
