Cost Controller

CREO Engineering Solutions is a Namibian engineering consultancy providing multidisciplinary engineering, project management and technical consulting services to the mining, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to manage project cost control, forecasting and financial reporting on a major EPCM project. The successful candidate will support effective commercial decision-making by monitoring project costs, maintaining accurate forecasts and ensuring robust financial controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain the project cost control system, code of accounts, baseline budget and cost reporting structure.
• Monitor project costs against budget and forecast, preparing weekly and monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Manage cost-related change control, maintain the change register and identify cost variances and commercial risks.
• Review and validate subcontractor progress claims, supporting client invoicing and commercial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Company financial policies, contractual requirements and statutory obligations.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project cost control on EPCM, mining, engineering or major construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with project controls and cost management software (e.g., Prism, EcoSys or equivalent).
• Sound understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, earned value principles and change control.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
