Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Think analytically and have a mechanical and practical aptitude
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Maintain professional image when representing BWE
• Ensure safe work practice by following procedures and risk assessments and contamination control
• Assist with diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services and maintenance on earthmoving equipment on customer sites or at BWE site
• Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including machine inspection reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis Reports (TA’s)
• Assist Technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and collaborate on effective solutions
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication and adjustments, to ensure optimal equipment functionality
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to carry out assigned tasks
• Electrical background
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workshop and work area
• Sound knowledge of tools and equipment required for certain tasks and support General Mechanics and Service Specialist accordingly

Requirements

• Grade 12, passed
• Minimum 3 years relevant mechanical/mining industry experience
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
• Computer literacy knowledge
• Applicable product knowledge in PM, components and machine systems
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays
• Must be in possession of a Code of Conduct not older than 6 Months
• Must be in possession of a Valid Driver’s License – manual transmission
