Job Summary

Opportunity for youth in Walvis Bay! Invitation to submit youth-driven climate change related project proposals for microgrants’ funding. Initiatives must be led and driven by the youth or youth-serving organisations (Schools, Churches, Educational/Community institutions and/or other registered youth organisations). Youth-led group, organisations and institutions ages 15 – 24 years. Be small-scale within an approximate microgrant value of N$ 20 000 – N$ 80 000 each. Be successfully implementable within the next 6 months and have the capacity for future adaptation and replication. Include local youth participation and benefit local youth groups. Integrate climate-environmental, social and economic considerations as well as promote international, national, regional and local climate and sustainability development policies, plans and programmes (PPPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit youth-driven climate change related project proposals for microgrants’ funding.
  • Ensure initiatives are led and driven by the youth or youth-serving organisations.
  • Target youth aged 15 – 24 years.
  • Proposals should be small-scale with a microgrant value between N$ 20 000 – N$ 80 000.
  • Ensure proposals are implementable within 6 months with future adaptation and replication potential.
  • Include local youth participation and benefit local youth groups.
  • Integrate climate-environmental, social and economic considerations into proposals.
  • Promote international, national, regional and local climate and sustainability development policies, plans and programmes (PPPs).
