Job Summary

Petrus Progress Heita Primary School has (1) permanent teaching post for Social Studies & English: Grade 4 – 7.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lessons for both English and Social Studies.
  • Mark learners’ work and maintain accurate progress records.
  • Manage classroom discipline and prepare learners for internal and external assessments.
  • Participate in staff meetings and co-curricular activities.

Requirements

  • A recognised 3 years tertiary teaching qualification on NQF level 6; OR
  • An appropriate recognised 3 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 6 in relation to the school subject to be taught plus a 1-year teaching qualification; OR
  • An appropriate recognised 3 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 6 plus a recognised trade test plus 1-year teaching qualification; OR
  • A recognised 4-year tertiary qualification on NQF level 7; OR
  • An appropriate recognised 4 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 in relation to the school subject to be taught plus a 1-year teaching qualification; OR
  • An appropriate recognised 4-years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 plus a recognised trade test plus a 1-year teaching qualification.
