Key Responsibilities
– Work directly with Shift Supervisor, CRO, Field Operators to maintain process adherence, ensure productivity and safety
– Maintain key crushing parameters (CSS, liner wear profiles)
– Ensure effective operation of the screen and protection etc within specified targets
– Optimize SAG mill operation and classifier (D50, vortex & spot vortex ensure) and ensure optimum Pre-leaching screen efficiency (ensure correct screen size, density bed levels etc)
– Maintain load cells and implement measures to reduce leaching losses
– Audit plant sampling practices, traceability and laboratory submission routines

Requirements
– Grade 12
– Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy or Process Engineering
– 5-10 years relevant experience in similar role as junior comminution metallurgist
– A valid driver’s license
– Strong understanding of multi-stage crushing circuits
– Data analysis capability
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
