Job Summary
The incumbent will report to the Technical Buyer and will be accountable for promoting and implementing health, safety and environmental requirements, tracking outstanding purchase orders, and monitoring supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and implement health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Track outstanding purchase orders and follow up on delayed deliveries.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure accurate entry of supply chain transactions in the SAP system.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s supply chain, procurement and inventory procedures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and operational efficiency enhancement.
- Prepare and submit procurement and supply chain-related reports.
- Assist in audits, risk management and corrective actions.
- Perform other reasonable work arrangements within the scope of the position.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field.
- Minimum three (3)- five (5) years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Warehouse or Materials Management.
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, processing plant or industrial environment will be an advantage.
- Experience with SAP systems will be an advantage.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel, is required.
