Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, repairs and servicing of mechanical systems.
• Perform lubrication services and general equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all machines and equipment are safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
• Lead risk assessments and apply relevant work permits before maintenance activities.
• Review and provide input on engineering requirements and technical drawings.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with artisans, assistants, engineers and production teams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to Artisan Assistants and Apprentices.
• Ensure compliance with all HSEQ, HACCP, ISO 9001 and food safety requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical and technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of asset management principles.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling.
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong planning, organising and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Team player with high attention to detail.
