Job Summary

Welwitchia University is inviting applications for an external vacancy for a Laboratory Technician at the School of Pharmacy. To provide technical support for teaching, research and learning by preparing and executing practical sessions, maintaining laboratory operations, ensuring safety compliance, assisting students and lecturers during laboratory work, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree (NQF L8) in Laboratory Technology/ Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent qualification.
• At least two (2) years of industry or academic relevant experience.
• Experience in laboratory techniques, preparation of reagents, and handling laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and chemical storage requirements.
• Code B Driver’s License will be an added advantage.
