Key Responsibilities

• Establish and implement, including procedures, controls, training, emergency preparedness and compliance requirements of reagents and chemicals.
• Coordinate plant housekeeping, signage, waste management and PPE systems.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits and enforce compliance with SOPs and Permit-to-Work requirements.
• Coordinate ancillary crews, shutdowns, start-ups and operational support activities.
• Oversee plant mobile equipment utilisation, competency and maintenance compliance.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Bachelors degree in Metallurgy or Process Engineering
• 5-8 years relevant experience in a similar role
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong supervision, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Sound understanding of reagent handling and process plant utilities
