Key Responsibilities

  • Performing all clearing and forwarding related duties and transactions on the Asyuda world system.
  • Liaising with NAMRA and related third parties.
  • Ensuring revenue and cost recovery is captured on the revenue system.
  • Liaising with customers and prepare quotes.
  • Perform general office duties and any other duties as may be requested from time to time as might be reasonably expected from a Clearing & Forwarding Specialist.

Requirements

  • Namibian Citizen and be in possession of a valid driver’s license (Code B).
  • Grade 12 with more than 5 year’s relevant experience in the transport / Clearing & Forwarding industry.
  • More than 5 year’s relevant experience in Asyuda world system.
  • Must have knowledge of MS and M/T Bonded procedures.
  • Must have knowledge of Walvis Bay release procedures – E.g. Shipping Line, Namport.
  • Must have knowledge of Export clearance procedures Walvis Bay – E.g. Shipping Line Books.
  • Must have standard Excel knowledge.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication skills (preferably multi-languages) as well as good organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Must have a high attention to detail, excellent time management skills and the ability to work accurately.
  • Must have sober habits.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must have high integrity and adhere to principles and values.
  • Must work according to strict deadlines, follow instructions and procedures.
  • Must be able to deliver on results and meet customer expectations.
  • Must work overtime if required.
  • Must live in Walvis Bay.
  • Must have a valid Code of Conduct – not older than 3 months (Police Clearance).
