Job Summary
We are looking for a CAMP ASSISTANT to join our tribe! These positions will be responsible for looking after guests for the entire stay at Camp Doros, in the Damaraland area.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for hosting and serving guests and visiting guides on a high level
- Responsible with all kitchen and housekeeping duties, which include preparing hot water for guest showers
- Responsible for all guest delights during the guest stay
- Assist for the general repairs and maintenance of the Camp
- Assist with offloading of the supply vehicles
- Assist with transporting of Guest and Guide luggage to/from rooms
- Assist with cleaning rooms before and after guest departure
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks are conducted, and any issues reported to the Camp Captain
- Assist in other departments when required
Requirements
- Must be a Namibian citizen
- Driver’s license would be advantageous
- Experience or qualification as a waiter or butler would be advantageous
- Member of one of our JV Conservancy – Doro !Nawas, Sorris Sorris and Uibasen
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong ethics, reliability and attention to detail
- Position requires long and flexible working hours
Salary
Market related salaries which include Pension contributions, Long Service Awards (14th Cheques), Performance based annual bonus (13th Cheques)
