Job Summary

TotalEnergies EP Namibia B.V. is seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate to lead the company’s local content strategies with regards to local supplier development within the Oil & Gas Upstream sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring local content objectives in the contractual relations with suppliers and strengthening stakeholder engagement. The role will involve close collaboration with suppliers, SMEs, authorities, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local content regulations and policies within procurement activities.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize local supplier engagement and participation.
• Monitor and report on local content performance metrics and progress.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote local content initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to procurement teams on local content requirements.
• Facilitate training and development programs for local suppliers to enhance capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for local supplier development and capacity building.
• Support the integration of local content considerations into procurement planning and decision-making.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (business school or equivalent).
• Experience: 8 years of professional experience and minimum 3 years managing local content topics related to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to engage credibly internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver and meet deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with fluency in another language used in Namibia, and high standards of ethics, discretion, diplomacy and reliability.
