Job Description
Role Purpose
Clear Sun Contracting Services Namibia (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced and suitably certified Loader Operator to support mining, stockpiling and processing operations within its Lower Orange River operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders to load haulage equipment, manage stockpiles, feed processing areas and move gravel and other mining material as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Loaders / Front-End Loaders in accordance with site operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Load Dump Trucks, ADTs, Tippers and other haulage equipment.
- Move and manage gravel, ore, overburden, waste and other bulk materials.
- Build, maintain and reclaim stockpiles as instructed.
- Feed material into designated plant or processing areas where required.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment safety checks.
- Monitor equipment condition and performance and report defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain safe operating distances from personnel, vehicles and other mobile equipment.
- Apply correct operating techniques to minimise equipment wear and damage.
- Assist in maintaining safe, clean and orderly loading and stockpile areas.
- Meet production and loading targets while maintaining safe operating standards.
- Comply with all Mine Health & Safety, environmental and operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Loader / Front-End Loader Operator Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience operating Loaders / Front-End Loaders, preferably within a mining, earthmoving, construction or similar heavy industrial environment.
- A valid Police Clearance Certificate not older than six (6) months.
- Demonstrated ability to safely load haulage equipment and manage stockpiles.
- Ability to conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects.
- Good understanding of mobile-equipment exclusion zones and mine-site safety requirements.
- Strong spatial awareness and equipment control.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work under production pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an operational mining team.
Working Conditions
- Position is site-based within a remote mining environment.
- Shift work and extended operational hours may be required.
- Work involves operating heavy equipment in active mining and processing areas.
- Candidates must be capable of working safely in demanding mining conditions.
