The position serves to guide and support nursing students during their clinical placements in hospital departments, ensuring their adherence to protocols and ethical standards. The Clinical Mentor will therefore be expected to facilitate student mentorship, providing clinical teaching through methods like demonstrations, case discussions, and role-play. Clinical Mentors conduct student assessments, evaluations, and feedback sessions, advocating for students’ optimal clinical allocations and placements for effective learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing (Clinical) or a Comprehensive Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Science.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Instruction/Nursing Education will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years or more experience in nursing practice plus teaching practice.
