Job Description
Responsible for financial reporting and up keeping of Internal control.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Compiling management accounts for different divisions by summarising the trial balance
- Making provision for forecasting expenses
- Scrutinising all increases and decreases in stock levels
- Reconciling all VAT accounts and complete VAT Returns as per laid down standards
- Posting all relevant accounting entries into the system
- Analyse all operational costs and take proactive action regarding accounting records
- Assist with creditors reconciliations as required
- Ensuring audit files are kept updated for auditing purposes
- Approving all payments and EFTs
- Performing other relief duties or ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Director
- Performs other relief duties or ad hoc tasks as required by the Manager
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
- Grade 12 with good passes in Accounting plus a 4-year Degree in Finance and Accounting
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English
- Experience in accounting up to trial balance
- Experience in auditing
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent accounting skills and a high level of accuracy
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and organisational abilities
- Shows initiative and drive
- Leadership and interpersonal skills with strong negotiation ability
- High stress tolerance and willingness to work long hours
- Valid police clearance certificate
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 08, PDP)
