Key Responsibilities
– Teach Afrikaans from Grade 8 to AS Level.
– Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons.
– Prepare learners for internal and external examinations.
– Develop and assess tests, assignments and examination papers.
– Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate academic support.
– Maintain accurate academic and assessment records.
– Encourage critical thinking, effective communication and independent learning.
– Participate in departmental meetings, school activities and extracurricular programmes.

Requirements
– Recognised teaching qualification and relevant Bachelor’s degree.
– Appropriate specialisation in Afrikaans.
– Minimum 3-5 years’ teaching experience, preferably at Senior Secondary level.
– Experience teaching Grade 8 – AS Level.
– Experience with the Cambridge International (IGCSE / AS Levels) will be an advantage.
– Excellent skills in Afrikaans language and communication.
– Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
– Good computer literacy.
– A genuine passion for teaching and learner development.
