Job Description Job Title Cost Controller Activity –
Primary activity of the position:
- Perform cost controlling & reporting function for the Entity’s assets including complete view reporting to the Management. In particular:
- Collect data/information for annual budget / AFE for entity in conjunction with technical responsible and budget owners
- Follow up of running & technical costs. propose revised forecast information based on latest work scope
- Ad hoc budget and variance realization variance analysis for management/HQ
- Verify all invoices to ensure timely payment (PO/Contract, Request for Services, Tariff, realization of service, etc.) & update budgets
- Prepare all necessary documentation for the month for the month end closure (accruals, SKFs, etc.)
- Prepare monthly cost report with variance analysis to help technical responsible manager with their budgets/costs
- Prepare monthly management report in conjunction with HQ
- Liaison with stock control / logistics team to ensure that stock received, transferred to site and returned stock are well integrated in accounting in order to ascertain the actual well costs
- Review of commitments created to ensure accuracy of cost objects, contract amounts, currency split, etc.
- Maintain records and processes to track advance payments to all contractors & vendors
- Liaison with technical teams (Drilling, Logistics, Exploration, Operations, etc.) for better understanding & follow up of allocated costs & cost re-invoicing
- Implement control processes and tools, issue recommendations in order to improve Financial Reporting operating efficiency and quality
- Leverage SAP and BW capabilities by automating and integrating reports and control.
- Others: reconciliations with the accounting, reconciliations with the exploration reporting.
- Any other duties as may be delegated

- HSE: actively participate in trainings, respect and apply internal policies and report all anomalies
Accountabilities:
- Ensure Cost Control is performed in compliance with Group requirements.
- Ensure a high level of reliability and quality on the cost control and reporting
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in a costing capacity, preferably in the O&G business
- Diploma/Certificate in Accounting/Finance will be an advantage
- Proficient in Excel
- Sound knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Excellent active listening and presentation skills
- Analytical and goal-oriented
