This role is pivotal in supporting executive leadership during a period where the company is transitioning from exploration into development and mine production phases.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant to the Managing Director provides high-level, end-to-end administrative, operational, and strategic support. The EA acts as a trusted confidant, enabling the MD and the executive team to focus on the Company and leadership roles by managing their time, communications, and complex logistics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complex Calendar & Travel Management: Proactively managing intricate calendars, optimizing time across time zones, and arranging complex international travel.
  • Strategic Communications: Acting as a “gatekeeper” and primary point of contact, handling correspondence, and responding to emails on behalf of the MD.
  • Meeting & Event Coordination: Organizing internal/external meetings, stakeholder dinners, and high-level events (e.g., ministerial, diplomats, board meetings).
  • Administrative & Financial Support: Handling expense submissions, timekeeping, invoicing, and maintaining confidential employee files.
  • Project Management & Leadership: Taking ownership of special projects, researching information, and preparing documents or reports.
  • Executive Leadership Team (SLT) Support: Supporting the SLT and visiting senior corporate team members with their logistics.

Job Specifications

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience supporting senior-level executives in a high-pressure, professional environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Digital Technology: Adaptive and flexible to use Artificial Intelligence tools to improve productivity.
  • Attributes: High level of discretion, judgment, proactive mindset, and capability to work independently.
  • Education: An undergraduate degree is preferred. An MBA will be an advantage.
