Job Description

The Manager will lead the executive and professional education portfolio at the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business, focusing on curriculum design, business development, and driving innovation and sustainability in leadership education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and grow all aspects of the executive and professional education programme portfolio.
  • Develop robust management development interventions.
  • Design customised and open-enrolment curricula.
  • Identify lead resource faculty, and design programmes to enhance the learning experience of participants and identify learning solutions strategies.
  • Research and assess external executive development resources such as coaches, speakers, learning technologies, assessments, and tools.
  • Promote the HPGSB’s brand and reputation among key stakeholders.
  • Meet revenue growth and profit targets.
  • Advise the Director on key development and trends in executive education.
  • Collaborate with the Director on the final curriculum and matters related to programme planning, development, execution, and evaluation.
  • Oversee all aspects of programme delivery, both onsite and offsite and execute any other reasonable duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) Organisational Development and Organisational Transformation, Leadership and Change management or closely related field.
  • A Ph.D. in Management will be an advantage.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, marketing executive education programmes and professional services, consulting to industry as well as organisational research in and to both the public and private sector.
  • Excellent English communication (oral and written), business and financial acumen, strategic thinking and Business Development skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning practices, as well as consultative selling and negotiating skills.
  • Proven competence in successfully leading a team of professionals in a growing business or profit centre in industry or an academic environment.
  • Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing businesses.
  • Considerable experience in consulting, executive and management development, training and development in a corporate environment and/or higher education.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline oriented and diverse environment as well as the ability to work in evenings, during weekends and travel when required.
  • All qualifications must be certified by the Police within the last three (3) months.
  • A Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of Conduct) not older than six (6) months must accompany all applications.
  • All foreign qualifications must be validated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA).
