Job Description
To manage and lead the Finance function by ensuring strong financial control, accurate and insightful reporting, effective financial resource management, and compliance with statutory and corporate governance requirements. The role supports strategic decision-making and sustainable business performance..
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and performance insights.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and support internal and external audits.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Implement, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls and policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and governance requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Cash Flow & Resource Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital effectively.
- Support capital planning, investment appraisals, and financial forecasting.
- Engage with banks, insurers, auditors, and other financial stakeholders as required.
Budgeting & Business Partnering
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.
- Partner with business units to align financial planning with organizational strategy.
- Recommend corrective actions to address variances and inefficiencies.
Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Procurement Oversight
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in financial management.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
Advantageous
- Professional certifications such as CA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Strong analytical capability and digital reporting skills.
- Knowledge of internal controls, taxation, and governance frameworks.
- Experience within the retail or hospitality industries.
- Experience using SAP and/or ARCH systems.
