To support this progression, Consolidated Copper Corp is seeking to appoint an accomplished Group Mining Engineer, responsible for all mine design and optimization across its Namibian operations. This senior position will lead a core technical team which will play a pivotal role in optimizing life-of-mine plans, driving production alignment and value creation within the company.
GROUP MINING ENGINEER – CCC016 x 1
Role Purpose The Group Mining Engineer will be responsible for all mine design and optimization across Consolidated Copper Corp’s Namibian operations, leading a core technical team and providing strategic technical input to support life-of-mine planning, production alignment and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Resource Geologist to provide reserve development, life-of-mine planning and strategic production delivery across all the Namibian assets
Design and optimize opencast and underground mining plans, including mining layouts, infrastructure design, development schedules and production sequencing
Ensure that mine designs will comply with Namibian mining, safety and environmental legislation
Assess the technical and commercial viability of existing and planned mining infrastructure
Lead inhouse project development activities including mine design, expansion studies and technical due diligence
Act as a key technical advisor to senior leadership, contributing to long-term asset strategy and value creation
Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be a seasoned mining engineer with strong geotechnical experience in underground and opencast base metal mines. A track record of strong technical leadership and in delivering mine planning excellence, operational improvement and value creation will be essential.
Minimum Educational & Experience Requirements
Degree in Mining Engineering
Significant experience in both opencast and underground mine design and operation
Proven capability in developing and leading a multidisciplinary technical team
Experience working within remote site-based or FIFO operational models
Commercially minded, execution-focused, and able to partner effectively with both site and corporate stakeholders
Valid Driver’s Licence
