Position: HR Supervisor – Port & Logistics Industry
Reporting to: Operations Manager / HR Manager

Purpose of the Position
The HR Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing human resources functions across port and logistics operations. This role ensures compliance with labour laws, supports workforce planning, manages employee relations, and maintains accurate HR records to support efficient and compliant operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff administration for port and logistics employees.
Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, and personnel files for all staff, including temporary and dock workers.
Monitor attendance, leave management, and time-sheet accuracy for operational teams.
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with labour laws, port regulations, and company policies.
Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, and disciplinary processes.
Training & Development
Coordinate training programs for operational staff, including safety, compliance, and skills development.
Assist with performance evaluations and provide guidance to supervisors on HR matters.
Employee Relations
Manage employee relations, address grievances, and support disciplinary processes.
Promote a positive workplace culture and support health, safety, and wellness initiatives.
Workforce Planning & Reporting
Support workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing for vessel operations, yard logistics, overtime, and shift schedules.
Prepare HR reports for management, including staffing levels, turnover, training status, and compliance metrics.
Required Characteristics

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Grade 12.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a port or logistics industry environment.
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Valid Code B (08) Driver’s License.
Police Clearance Certificate (not older than 6 months).
