Job Description
To monitor and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems of CIC.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose hardware or software faults, and replace parts as required
- Provide technical support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Support the roll-out and implementation of new applications
- Set up new user accounts and profiles and manage password-related issues
- Test and evaluate new technologies to support business growth
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Maintain systems in line with company growth and operational requirements
- Ensure secure data retrieval without loss or corruption
- Supervise and maintain appropriate system security levels and password controls
- Ensure storage and data retrieval systems are fully operational
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff as required
- Maintain daily administrative records for orders and quotations
- Ensure warranties are followed up and services are delivered as agreed
- Stay up to date with IT developments and continuously review and improve current operations and data flow
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
- Grade 12 with a Tertiary Degree in Information Technology
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Technical Support
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Assertive, logical thinker with strong problem-solving ability
- Reliable own transport, as travelling is required
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08)
- Namibian citizenship
