Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, repairs and servicing of mechanical systems.
- Perform lubrication services and general equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure all machines and equipment are safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Lead risk assessments and apply relevant work permits before maintenance activities.
- Review and provide input on engineering requirements and technical drawings.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with artisans, assistants, engineers and production teams.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to Artisan Assistants and Apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with all HSEQ, HACCP, ISO 9001 and food safety requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical and technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of asset management principles.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong planning, organising and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Team player with high attention to detail.
