The Company

A full line pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor of medicines, surgical, clinical and consumer products in Namibia has a vacancy for an Marketer

 

Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining the marketing strategy, driving business growth and identifying new commercial opportunities. Key duties include ensuring the profitability of agreements, developing, implementing and maintaining strategic marketing plans.

 

This role also encompasses facilitating all marketing aspects of the business, including sales, agreements and client relationship management. The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing brand visibility and ensuring competitive positioning in the market. The incumbent’s role requires deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, experienced negotiation skills, business acumen and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and maintain healthy relationships with clients and stakeholders.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Medical, or related fields (MBA or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10–15 years’ relevant working experience in Lifestyle, Distribution, Marketing, Commercial, Medical and/or related fields
  • Proven experience in commercial or business development roles
  • Strong negotiation and people skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent language skills in English & Afrikaans
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset
  • Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and CRM software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams towards common goals
  • Applicants must be in good physical and mental condition

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence within current and new ventures
      • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients and industry trends
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
      • Communicate with clients, addressing their needs and resolving issues in a timely manner
      • Analyze financial data to assess the financial health of commercial operations
      • Ensure effective marketing of the company’s product and services portfolio to healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and other stakeholders
