Job Description
Lewcor Group is seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitters to join their team for a project at Rössing Mine, focusing on the maintenance and repair of crushing plants and heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximise plant performance
- Conduct daily machine inspections and condition reporting
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Maintain Metso crushers and associated equipment
- Operate mobile plant safely
- Support continuous improvement of crushing operations
Requirements
- Namibian ID
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Code of Conduct (not older than 6 months)
- Recognised Trade Certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a heavy industry / quarry environment
- Strong mechanical background with experience in: Electrical & hydraulic systems; Drive systems (motors, belts, pumps, gearboxes); Crushers and vibratory screens
- An expert in preventative maintenance on crushing plant and heavy-duty mobile equipment
- Highly skilled in fault-finding and breakdown diagnostics
- Experienced with Metso crushers, including electrical and hydraulic systems
- Working experience in a Quarrying or Aggregates industry
