Officer: Recruitment – Swakop Uranium

Job Description

To provide the End-user departments (EUDs) with recruitment and selection services by coordinating functions related to recruitment and selection process to meet SU’s objectives.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Advise the EUD on vacant roles to be recruited in line with the approved Workforce Plan.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for job advertisements.
  • Download, log, and shortlist job applications based on prescribed criteria and forward recommendations to EUD for input.
  • Coordinate all logistical arrangements for interviews and assessments.
  • Obtain and verify relevant information from shortlisted candidates prior to interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks and verify qualification authenticity for recommended candidates.
  • Prepare pre-employment packs for successful candidates for offer processing.
  • Engage with successful candidates and consolidate all sign-on documentation.
  • Ensure all pre-employment documentation, evaluations, and onboarding logistics are completed and properly arranged.

Requirements and experience:

  • Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related Social Science field.
  • 3 years’ working experience in a mining, technical, or engineering environment.
  • Valid Code B/BE driver’s license.
