Job Description
To provide the End-user departments (EUDs) with recruitment and selection services by coordinating functions related to recruitment and selection process to meet SU’s objectives.
Key Performance Areas:
- Advise the EUD on vacant roles to be recruited in line with the approved Workforce Plan.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for job advertisements.
- Download, log, and shortlist job applications based on prescribed criteria and forward recommendations to EUD for input.
- Coordinate all logistical arrangements for interviews and assessments.
- Obtain and verify relevant information from shortlisted candidates prior to interviews.
- Conduct reference checks and verify qualification authenticity for recommended candidates.
- Prepare pre-employment packs for successful candidates for offer processing.
- Engage with successful candidates and consolidate all sign-on documentation.
- Ensure all pre-employment documentation, evaluations, and onboarding logistics are completed and properly arranged.
Requirements and experience:
- Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related Social Science field.
- 3 years’ working experience in a mining, technical, or engineering environment.
- Valid Code B/BE driver’s license.
