Key Responsibilities:
– Manage grade control and ore controls activities in the mine
– Coordinate with the mine plan
– Ensure that all production targets, ore lay-backs, and ore mining to the mine plan and ore list
– Perform geological mapping, grade control surveys, and planning teams to support efficient ore extraction
– Ensure that the ore is delivered to the ROM pad and then into ore control
– Monitor ore movement, stockpiling, material and waste movement to ensure correct delivery
– Reconcile mined ore tonnes and grades against the geological model
– Maintain accurate geological and production records
– Identify and communicate geological and operational issues affecting production

Requirements:
– Grade 12
– BSc Degree in Geology or equivalent qualification
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in an open pit gold mining environment
– Experience in grade control, reconciliation, and production geology
– Ability to work with minimal supervision
– A valid driver’s license
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
