PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To ensure independent implementation of effective risk policies and procedures for designated clients through the management of resources.

Are you someone who can:

  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant risk methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed and informative training reports after each consultant indicating the current standard of routine, training given and training required to improve.
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  • Ensure that FNB business units conforms to prescribed processes and procedures through the adherence to audit guidelines as approved and implemented by senior audit management, e.g. audit templates, special instructions.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate risk and make recommendations to reduce / control risk.
  • Monitor risk processes to identify and report on possible risk where applicable.
  • Assist with drafting of checklists for Business units.
  • Propose and implement new Risk improved models and methodologies.
  • Benchmark current practices against the risk management framework and adjust practices as and when necessary.
  • Log operational losses, report on the losses on a monthly basis and conduct loss reconciliations.
  • Manage own development to increase own competencies.

 

You will be an ideal candidate if you meet the below requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Relevant Commercial or Law Degree.
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years in a Risk environment.
  • Financial services sector experience will be an added advantage.
