Sales Representative (x2 Positions) – CIC
Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To manage a vast range of fast-moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets across existing product lines while maintaining or improving sales and merchandising standards as set by the principal
- Negotiate profitable deals with buyers at retail outlets on existing and new product lines
- Negotiate discounts, shelf space, promotions, and gondola placements
- Ensure merchandisers are motivated, trained, and supported where required
- Organise and coordinate promotions through effective negotiation and planning
- Sort, verify, and submit claims timeously to expedite processing, recommending reversals where necessary
- Ensure strict adherence to stock rotation principles
- Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale in line with merchandising standards
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
- Grade 12 with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in FMCG, or a Diploma in Sales and Marketing
- Between 21 and 35 years of age
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English
- Proficiency in an indigenous language will be a definite advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict situations effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of Sales Mathematics
- Reliable own transport, as extensive travelling is required
- Valid passport and Police Clearance Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08)
- Namibian citizenship
