Sales Representative (x2 Positions) – CIC

Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To manage a vast range of fast-moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets across existing product lines while maintaining or improving sales and merchandising standards as set by the principal
  • Negotiate profitable deals with buyers at retail outlets on existing and new product lines
  • Negotiate discounts, shelf space, promotions, and gondola placements
  • Ensure merchandisers are motivated, trained, and supported where required
  • Organise and coordinate promotions through effective negotiation and planning
  • Sort, verify, and submit claims timeously to expedite processing, recommending reversals where necessary
  • Ensure strict adherence to stock rotation principles
  • Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale in line with merchandising standards

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Grade 12 with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in FMCG, or a Diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • Proficiency in an indigenous language will be a definite advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict situations effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of Sales Mathematics
  • Reliable own transport, as extensive travelling is required
  • Valid passport and Police Clearance Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08)
  • Namibian citizenship
