Senior Financial Accountant – Hangana Seafood
Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide monthly and annual financial reports by complying with all required statutory regulations as well as reporting standards by managing, guiding and assisting the Finance Department with the processing and reconciliation of financial information to ensure smooth running of operations within the department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Give instructions and direction for journals to be processed.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Review and execute rental contracts.
- Ensure correct identification of the provisions and contingencies on the Trial Balance.
- Ensure that Quota provisions are accounted for accurately and payments are not delayed, and review the quota reconciliations.
- Drive the insurance portfolio within the business, including the yearly renewals.
- Ensure that audit deliverables are submitted on time.
- Review and release payments on the bank.
- Provide input to the Division’s strategic plans.
- Manage and contribute to team effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- An Honours Degree in Financial Accounting / management or similar disciplines.
- At least 5 to 8 year’s work experience in financial supervisory level.
- Accreditations in NIPAM, ACCA, ICAN or CA articles are an advantage.
- Added advantage working in the FMCG industry.
