Job Description:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and service requests.
  • Provide timely and effective support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Log and track all support tickets using the designated ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all support activities and communication with users.
  • Assist in the documentation and improvement of IT processes and procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external service providers as necessary to resolve issues.

Minimum Requirement:

Requirements, General:

  • Possession of a Grade 12 certificate or higher tertiary education.
  • Namibian citizenship.
  • Fluent bilingualism in English and Afrikaans.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Own vehicle will be a distinct advantage.

Requirements – System Exposure

  • Experience in managing a Service Desk, demonstrating the ability to oversee support operations and ensure efficient resolution of client issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, on-premises Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune for device management as first line support.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and service desk best practices.
  • Strong administrative skills for effective management of IT systems and resources.

Requirements – Certification

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) or relevant certification.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification will be a distinct advantage.
  • Additional relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong administrative background.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
