Job Description:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and service requests.
- Provide timely and effective support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
- Log and track all support tickets using the designated ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all support activities and communication with users.
- Assist in the documentation and improvement of IT processes and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers as necessary to resolve issues.
Minimum Requirement:
Requirements, General:
- Possession of a Grade 12 certificate or higher tertiary education.
- Namibian citizenship.
- Fluent bilingualism in English and Afrikaans.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Own vehicle will be a distinct advantage.
Requirements – System Exposure
- Experience in managing a Service Desk, demonstrating the ability to oversee support operations and ensure efficient resolution of client issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, on-premises Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune for device management as first line support.
- Familiarity with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and service desk best practices.
- Strong administrative skills for effective management of IT systems and resources.
Requirements – Certification
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) or relevant certification.
- ITIL Foundation Certification will be a distinct advantage.
- Additional relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong administrative background.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
