Job Description

Indongo Hino (Frans Indongo Group) – TECHNICIAN (HINO). Part of our Dealer Operations is to achieve zero Guest comebacks through the Hino Customer Service Workshop Management Program. To achieve these goals the following position is available to diagnose, service and repair all Hino trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and promptly identify faults – First Time Right
  • Complete Pre-diagnostic questionnaire as per required standards
  • Repair trucks as per diagnostic questionnaire
  • Minimize Comebacks, ensure Customer Satisfaction and Retention
  • Adhere to Hino Service and Repair schedules
  • Record future repairs and servicing requirements
  • Maintain CE index percentages as per required standards
  • Accept responsibility for transfer of skills to apprentices/learners.
  • Any related tasks if, and when required

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be a Team Player and have a friendly & energetic attitude
  • Effectively prioritize, multitask, initiate and follow through
  • Qualified Technician (Diesel Mechanic)
  • Diagnostic skills, engine, gearbox and differential overhaul knowledge and computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in this field
  • Hino franchise experience and qualifications will be an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license (CE license is an advantage, as to be obtained as a requirement)
