VACANCY: TVET-EXPERT & PROGRAM-COORDINATOR

“From Unemployment to Entrepreneurship” is a three year youth training initiative (2026 to 2028) at the OPEN DOORS EDUCATION CENTRE (ODEC) in Swakopmund. The project addresses youth unemployment by offering vocational training modules for young people aged 16 to 25.

Training areas include for example:

• Leather & beadwork
• Sewing, alterations & upcycling
• Digital literacy & office administration
• Coding and ICT
• Solar PV basics
• Hydroponics & urban agriculture
• Hospitality & tourism
• Community health
• Retail, logistics & warehousing basics
• Entrepreneurship & financial literacy

Position Overview

• design, lead and manage the entire program.
• develop training modules, oversee operations, guide the team and ensure alignment with national TVET standards and labour market needs.

Fulltime (40h)
Start: January 2026
Contract: 1-3 years

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Qualification in Vocational Education, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 consecutive years of experience in vocational training, workshop management or education program development
• Strong background in TVET curriculum development, workshop setup, equipment and safety standards
