About the Role
BHL GROUP is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to operate heavy-duty articulated vehicles for long-distance transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of goods nationwide and, where required, across borders. This role requires a high level of discipline, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently under demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Operate truck tractor-trailer combinations for long-distance and occasional cross-border deliveries
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
Perform basic mechanical and tyre checks during trips
Handle loading and offloading safely while ensuring cargo security
Maintain accurate trip sheets, fuel logs, waybills, and delivery documentation
Communicate regularly with dispatch and adhere to delivery schedules
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Road Traffic regulations at all times
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate (minimum requirement)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty long-distance driving
Valid Code CE Driver’s License for articulated vehicles
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP / Professional Authorisation)
Valid Namibian Driver’s License
Valid Police Certificate of Conduct (not older than 6 months)
Dangerous Goods (DG) Training Certificate (if hauling DG cargo – valid for 12 months)
