About the Role

BHL GROUP is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to operate heavy-duty articulated vehicles for long-distance transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of goods nationwide and, where required, across borders. This role requires a high level of discipline, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently under demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate truck tractor-trailer combinations for long-distance and occasional cross-border deliveries

  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Perform basic mechanical and tyre checks during trips

  • Handle loading and offloading safely while ensuring cargo security

  • Maintain accurate trip sheets, fuel logs, waybills, and delivery documentation

  • Communicate regularly with dispatch and adhere to delivery schedules

  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Road Traffic regulations at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate (minimum requirement)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty long-distance driving

  • Valid Code CE Driver’s License for articulated vehicles

  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP / Professional Authorisation)

  • Valid Namibian Driver’s License

  • Valid Police Certificate of Conduct (not older than 6 months)

  • Dangerous Goods (DG) Training Certificate (if hauling DG cargo – valid for 12 months)
