PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To manage a vast range of fast-moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins..
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets in existing product lines while maintaining or improving sales and merchandising standards set by the principal.
- Negotiate profitable deals on existing and new product lines with shop buyers.
- Negotiate discounts, shelf space, promotions, and gondola placements.
- Motivate merchandisers and provide training when required.
- Organise promotions by conducting the necessary negotiations.
- Sort, verify, and submit claims to expedite processing, and recommend reversals where required.
- Ensure stock rotation principles are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
- Grade 12 with three years’ experience in FMCG, or a Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
- Between 21 and 35 years of age.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Proficiency in an indigenous language will be a definite advantage.
- Ability to handle pressure and conflict situations.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of Sales Maths.
- Reliable own transport (extensive travelling required).
- Valid passport and police clearance certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 08).
- Namibian Citizenship.
