We are looking for a motivated Diamond Drill Operator to join our Geology / Technical Services team.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To operate underground diamond drilling equipment safely and efficiently to complete approved drilling programmes and support effective drilling and core recovery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate diamond drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete drilling according to approved programmes and specifications.
• Monitor drilling conditions and core recovery.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment defects.
• Assist with safe recovery and handling of drill core.
• Assist with setting up, dismantling and moving drilling equipment and materials.
• Follow all HSE procedures, use required PPE and report hazards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating diamond drilling equipment.
• Relevant drilling training or certification will be advantageous.
• Experience with underground and surface diamond drilling will be advantageous.
• Experience with drill core recovery and handling will be advantageous.
• Ability to work safely in an underground mining environment.
