New Horizon Copper

New Horizon Copper (NHC) is a responsible copper mining company focused on the restart, expansion, and long-term sustainable operation of the historic Kombat Copper Mine in central-north Namibia. Backed by majority shareholder Horizon Corporation, NHC is advancing a significant redevelopment programme that marks a new chapter for Kombat. Construction activities officially commenced in February 2026, supported by a planned equity investment of over US$24 million, underscoring Horizon’s long-term commitment to Namibia and confidence in the asset. NHC is executing a phased development strategy with operations expected to commence in Q4 2026. At steady state, the mine is designed to process up to 60,000 tonnes of ore per month—doubling historical throughput—through a renewed operational approach, targeted underground development, and modern processing innovations, including sensor-based technologies. With a strong focus on safety, operational discipline, and community partnership, the project has already achieved key milestones, including more than 31,000 lost-time-injury-free shifts, implementation of a robust dewatering strategy, and the commencement of critical civil works. NHC is committed to delivering long-term operational stability, meaningful fiscal contributions to the Namibian economy, and sustainable value for all stakeholders, while working closely with local communities and Namibian partners, who retain a 20% interest in the operation.
