Key Responsibilities

  • Fit and assemble structural frameworks as per the blueprint specification including but not limited to materials, hand tools, welding equipment etc
  • Responsible for the maintenance, overhaul and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for the day to day tasks including and not limited to; fitting and assembling parts and sub-assemblies, manufacturing, repairing and inspection of machinery and equipment, and requiring occasional hot work such as welding.
  • Responsible for planned preventative (proactive) maintenance routines, inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with legislative, regulatory and Company specific policies and procedures.
  • To liaise with the Manager Maintenance regarding plant and/or equipment failures and to request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary to ensure rectification of the fault.
  • Timely completion of all report sheets and test certificates, surveys and audits as necessary, to provide an auditable trail of quality control and history of work undertaken to legislative standards.
  • Work closely with other trades and disciplines to achieve versatility, flexibility and co-operation towards effective and efficient working and continually strive to reduce costs wherever possible within the full scope of all relevant legislation.
  • Will be required from time to time to do leave replacement for Technician at other Bokomo Plants.

Requirements

  • Technical Trade or National Training Certificate (Qualified Artisan)
  • 4-5 years’ experience
