Job Summary

Rosewood Academy – Windhoek, invites applications from a highly qualified, passionate and experienced teacher to teach German Foreign Language from Grade 8 – AS Level.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach German Foreign Language from Grade 8 to AS Level.
• Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred German lessons.
• Prepare learners for internal and external examinations.
• Develop and assess tests, assignments and examination papers.
• Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate academic support.
• Maintain accurate academic and assessment records.
• Develop learners’ German language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Encourage effective communication, critical thinking and independent learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school activities and extracurricular programmes.

Requirements

• Recognised teaching qualification and relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• Appropriate specialisation in German / German Foreign Language.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ teaching experience, preferably at Senior Secondary level.
• Experience teaching Grade 8 – AS Level.
• Experience with Cambridge International IGCSE / AS Level German will be an advantage.
• Experience / specialisation in a different language will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• A genuine passion for teaching and learner development.
