Job Description

Internal Vacancy (Concentrate Dispatcher)

This position will be based at the mine site, processing department and will report directly to the Section Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating production circuits as per set criteria and requirements.
  • Ensure the concentrate produced is binned as per standard operating procedure.
  • Report upset conditions in the processing plant to the Process Engineer.
  • Supervises the concentrate drying process (Sun Dried).
  • Ensure housekeeping in the concentrate store.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures which are in line company policies and procedures.
  • Operate section as per set operating criteria and monitor equipment performance.
  • Ensure all non – conformances are reported and conduct root cause analysis of problems in the concentrate store.
  • Collect samples in line with the Sampling Methodology as per process plant requirements.
  • Assist the process engineer and section lead with ad hoc administrative duties.
  • Record and investigate deviations of process performance from set production targets.
  • Logs the concentrate produced statistics on the Database.
  • Quality Control of Concentrate Produced and Dispatched from site.
  • Ensure accuracy and reprocessing of content prior binning.
  • Supervision of concentrate store cleaners.
  • Maintenance of concentrate store equipment
  • Cleaning of spillages in the concentrate store as per Safe Works Procedures
  • Replacement of substandard equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Supervise and guide concentrate store attendant.

Key Requirements

  • Grade 11 certificate with at least 25 points, with mathematics OR relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Creative thinking skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Stress tolerant – Dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
  • Through understanding of all Microsoft packages (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint and etc)
  • Willing to work overtime and weekend.
  • A valid police clearance certificate, not older than 6 months.
