Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Effective maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
- Timely reporting of plant defects to Workshop Foreman.
- Maintain and update electronic, electrical, and mechanical documentation.
- Organise spare parts procurement and stock control.
- Maintain hardware and software documentation archives.
- Define and update documentation and equipment standards.
- Provide 24/7 standby support on a rotational basis.
- Adhere to all work instructions and safety procedures.
- Complete job cards and timesheets accurately and timeously.
- Ensure equipment maintenance is carried out to standard and in scheduled time.
- Provide accurate and timeous feedback after any call-out.
- Maintain availability and readiness during standby periods.
- Supervise and guide assistants according to company training standards.
- Deliver on-the-job training as needed.
- Attend to emergency call-outs promptly.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with recognized Trade Certificate in the relevant trade (Millwright or Electrical).
- Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and instrumentation background.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (mandatory).
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be a Namibian citizen.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and at external depots when required.
- Well disciplined. Hardworking. Cooperativeness. Reliable.
