Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification.
  • Timely reporting of plant defects to Workshop Foreman.
  • Maintain and update electronic, electrical, and mechanical documentation.
  • Organise spare parts procurement and stock control.
  • Maintain hardware and software documentation archives.
  • Define and update documentation and equipment standards.
  • Provide 24/7 standby support on a rotational basis.
  • Adhere to all work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Complete job cards and timesheets accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is carried out to standard and in scheduled time.
  • Provide accurate and timeous feedback after any call-out.
  • Maintain availability and readiness during standby periods.
  • Supervise and guide assistants according to company training standards.
  • Deliver on-the-job training as needed.
  • Attend to emergency call-outs promptly.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with recognized Trade Certificate in the relevant trade (Millwright or Electrical).
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and instrumentation background.
  • Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be a Namibian citizen.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and at external depots when required.
  • Well disciplined. Hardworking. Cooperativeness. Reliable.
